In Psalm 122:6, the LORD commands us to "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem..." In today's society, it would be easy to go along with the crowd, and say that Israel should not fire missiles back at Hamas.  But Hamas is using their own people as human shields to protect themselves.  Israel sent multiple messages to those living in the Gaza strip, warning them about future retaliation attacks.  But the people did not listen.  Hamas knows that they will generate sympathy in the deaths of their people.  The UN is condemning Israel for its attacks, but has not condemned Hamas for starting the conflict.  We must, daily, pray for the peace of Israel.
